WHEN DRIVE IS ROOTED IN DISCOMFORT

Releasing subconscious emotional patterns can shift the way you show up at work & leadership

Your Subconscious Is Kind of Running the Show (But That’s Okay)
Here’s something no one tells you when you’re learning how to “be a better person”: You’re not really in charge. Well, not entirely.
Turns out, your conscious mind—you know, the part of you that sets goals, makes lists, and tells yourself not to yell when you're frustrated—only runs about 3 to 5% of the show. The other 95 to 97%? That’s all being handled by your subconscious mind.
So basically, it’s like your conscious mind is steering the wheel of the car… but your subconscious is actually the one with the map, the gas, the playlist, and a stubborn sense of direction it picked up sometime around age seven. And that explains so much, doesn’t it?
“I decided not to react like that anymore…”
We’ve all had those moments where we say, “I’m not going to let this bother me,” or “I’m done with that pattern,”—only to find ourselves doing the same thing… again.
It’s not because we’re weak or lazy or broken. It’s because the pattern lives in the subconscious, not the conscious. And no amount of willpower can override something that's deeply wired into our emotional programming.
And here’s the kicker: the longer it’s been there, the more deeply rooted it becomes. Like old wallpaper that’s been painted over twenty times. You can put something new on top, but if you want real change? You’ve got to peel it back and clear it out from the foundation.
So how do we actually change these patterns?
This is where I found The Emotion Code—and everything started to make sense.
The Emotion Code works by gently identifying and releasing trapped emotions—those little energy imprints we pick up through life. These can be from past experiences, inherited from our family line, or even absorbed from the emotional soup we’re all swimming in every day.
And once those emotional imprints are released, the subconscious doesn’t need to run that old pattern anymore. It’s like updating your internal software. No more glitchy reactions or emotional overreactions to things that shouldn’t be a big deal (but totally feel like one in the moment).
Emotions aren’t the enemy
The goal isn’t to never feel sadness, anger, or fear again. That wouldn’t be human. It’s about clearing the emotional buildup, so when those feelings do show up, they can pass through cleanly—without sticking around, getting stuck in your body, or becoming a trigger for something deeper.
Instead of becoming overwhelmed or reactive, you can hear the message, feel the emotion, and move on with a little more peace and clarity.
It’s like giving your emotional self a much-needed exhale.(And maybe a nap.)
A client story that says it all
Recently, I worked with a highly successful client. On paper, he had everything—career milestones, recognition, and a track record of drive and results. But beneath it, there was a persistent feeling of not belonging that he could never quite shake. Causing him to feel stuck and unable to tap into his fullest potential.
It showed up in boardrooms, social situations, and moments where he should have felt confident. Through our work together, he realized that he'd been subconsciously holding onto this emotional pattern—not as a weakness, but as a strategy. That discomfort had fueled his ambition for years. It had become a tool for proving himself over and over.
But then came the shift.
We released a series of trapped emotions, and something amazing happened. He realized:
“I don’t have to be uncomfortable to succeed. I don’t need to carry stress to prove my worth.”
Once the emotional baggage was gone, he felt lighter. Clearer. And the best part? His career took off more than ever before—full of fresh, new opportunities. Now it felt aligned, sustainable, and actually enjoyable. By showing up as his true self, he began attracting the right people, opportunities, and the advancements he had been craving.
Why this matters
If we could just change our lives by making conscious decisions, we would’ve done it already. We’d all be zen, hydrated, and totally healed by now.
But real transformation? It happens beneath the surface—in the subconscious, and even deeper, in the energetic body. That’s where the real shifts take place. And that’s where the Emotion Code does its quiet, powerful work.
Ready to explore what might be holding you back—without even realizing it? Let’s work together to release what’s stuck and create space for the version of you who feels at home in your body, your life, and your success.
And remember—things don’t have to be as hard as we often make them out to be. When we clear out the emotional heaviness, life doesn’t just feel better—it actually gets easier. We move through situations with more ease, we stop gripping so tightly, and we let things come to us with more flow. We trust ourselves more. We show up more grounded. And it reflects—especially in the way we work, connect, and create.
You don’t need to struggle to grow.
You just need to feel lighter to rise.
The best part, these sessions are quick, efficient and easy to incorporate into a busy work week. I even can offer emailed sessions.
